If anyone thinks this is the world God intended he would be wrong. Grief can feel like fear in your stomach. You can go from moments of numbness and detachment to moments of intensity.
Tears are the result of finding out what the world really is
- Tears have a way of keeping this world from becoming too attractive
Tears have a way of highlighting need
- There is no need when you feel full and safe.
They equip you for the office of sympathy
Tears have a way of revealing what’s important
Tears improve the heart
- Ecclesiastes 7:3 Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. In Jesus Christ, all tragedies are temporary. The new heaven and new earth will have no hospitals, no graveyards. It is a holy place without sin.
