Her public call (vss 1- 3)
- Wisdom is the first voice. The strange woman was working in darkness, but wisdom was working out in the open.
- Wisdom doesn’t enjoy correction or watching people sin. Wisdom gets no particular joy out of “I told you so”. If you do, you have the wrong spirit.
- Wisdom is elevated so her voice can be heard clearly; radio antenna, broadcast over the internet, published all over the place.
Her power to convert (vss 4-5)
- She is persuasive. She has the power to win a soul.
Her pure conversation (vss 6 – 9)
- Excellent things
- Right things
- True things
- Righteous things
- Plain things
- Philippians 4:8
- James 3:17-18
Her precious choice (vss 10 – 12)
- In this case it is one or the other. Receive instruction and not silver…
- Wisdom has the ability to acquire things that money can’t buy.
Her preeminent counsel (vss 13-17)
- What she hates is notable.
- Leadership belongs to the wise.
Her priceless charge (vss 18 – 21)
- Wisdom has the ability to purchase things that money can’t buy.
Her presence in creation (vss 22 – 31)
- in the beginning…
- Wisdom is how God created all things. Wisdom is the blueprint, the design.
- Spiritual truths found in natural processes.
The person of Christ (vss 32 – 36)
- Blessed is the man sounds much like the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ
- This is Jesus Christ in the Proverbs
