This is a tyrant. This type of person is oppressive and dictatorial.
Refuses to learn in light of clear error
- Proverbs 29:19 A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.
Takes hard positions on things to prove his authority
Will endure much pain just to be right
- Proverbs 27:22 Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him. This is like grinding him in a pestle like you would wheat and it won’t matter.
Puts his agenda over everything else
He wants to be in control for control’s sake
- The alternative is being in control for the well-being of people around you.
- Diotrophes was like this.
